Cathy CHAN- Director

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I walked the classic educational path, spending 15 years at St. Paul’s Convent School before reading law at the University of Hong Kong and becoming a barrister. I envisioned this career for life until my husband and I moved to France.

Living in France has been transformative. Learning a new language and culture was challenging but enriching. Immersing in French life has shown me the value of diverse experiences beyond mere vacations. My time here has taught me to be bold, curious, and innovative. Inspired by my husband, I embarked on this ambitious journey, grateful for the experiences that have reshaped my perspective.

My Opinion about France
France’s quality education and healthcare system, coupled with its diversity and open-mindedness, are remarkable. The French possess strong critical thinking and communication skills, nurtured by their education system and passion for discussion.

My Vision of the Future
With rapid technological advancement and globalization, education and career development are no longer geographically confined. Diverse experiences and strong networks are crucial. Success nowadays requires more than good grades; it’s about innovation and passion. Students must cultivate creativity and critical thinking alongside academic skills. I also believe overseas education should be accessible to all, not a privilege for those who are resourceful. This belief drives FrenchWise to offer affordable, high-quality overseas education options for Hong Kong students.

Antoine PICARDAT – Consultant 顧問

A French airline pilot with a diverse educational background that includes prestigious schools – from a Catholic institution run by a brotherhood to a military academy. These experiences paved my way to attend renowned international schools and ultimately achieve a dream career.

Though struggling academically as a child, determination and hard work had led me to excellence with the support of dedicated schools. I developed a passion for science during eight years in boarding schools across France. After high school, my attendance at a top-tier scientific preparatory school in France landed me at ECE Paris for civil engineering, followed by a Master’s degree at the University of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. To pursuing the goal of becoming a pilot, I completed training at the UK’s leading aviation school, CTC Aviation, and obtained a commercial license in New Zealand. Having flown for Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong previously, I am currently a pilot for Cargolux in Luxembourg.

The key lesson from this educational journey is this: Never give up on your goals, work hard, and choose your educational path wisely. Education is your best investment. Fueled by this belief, I am now dedicated to helping others seize the same opportunities.
